Markus is the Founder & Managing Partner of Tholus Capital, a global manager of thematic fund of funds and OCIO. He has more than 25 years of
experience in investment management and fund operations.

Prior to founding Tholus Capital, Markus was a Senior Managing Director at Samena Capital.
Prior to this, Markus was a Partner and Head of Private Equity for Germany at the international law firm Dewey Ballantine, a partner at Norton Rose, and an attorney at Hengeler Mueller.

He holds a PhD (Dr. iur.) from the University of Freiburg i.Br., a Licence en Droit from the Université D’Aix-Marseille, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of California at Los Angeles.
