Dr. Sally Hammoud is an accomplished versatile academic and professional in the fields of communication, learning, and engagement with intercultural experience. She has emerged as an expert in conducting surveys across various contexts and has led national projects targeting educational institutions and civil society organizations, demonstrating expertise in management, communication, and capacity building under the purview of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Social Affairs in Lebanon and the GCC.
With a Ph.D. in Communication & Media Studies from Lebanese University, her research centers on the intersection of artificial intelligence and language in building digital reputation in contemporary media.
She holds faculty positions at prestigious institutions, including the American University of Beirut, American University in Dubai, Lebanese American University and Indian Institute of Management, where she imparts her insights to students from diverse backgrounds.
Sally is currently in the process of publishing a book on artificial intelligence and language in digital reputation. Her academic work includes research on the new wave of feminism impacted by artificial intelligence and digital media, NFT art in New Media, the role of civil society in enhancing media governance during the October 17 revolution in Lebanon, the influence of public societal action on information policies and media regulation in Lebanon, and the promotion of early childhood education for all children in Lebanon focusing on the impact of digital literacy, in collaboration with the University of East London.
In addition to her academic roles, Sally is an expert in training design, facilitation, and knowledge transfer, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. Her training topics cover a wide range of themes, including crisis management, change management, digital emotional intelligence, design thinking, conflict transformation, critical thinking, business growth strategies, and more.
Dr. Hammoud has undertaken various consulting projects in diverse organizations within the sectors of media communication, education, community development, and business development across the MENA and GCC regions. Her projects are designed, implemented, and evaluated based on organizational objectives and key performance indicators (OKRs) to ensure effectiveness.
Her consultancies and non-academic publications underscore her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the MENA and GCC regions, and her academic contributions are poised to further enrich the field.
She has published opinion papers on various socio-political topics in prestigious papers, and she has been featured in several national and international media highlighting her knowledge and accomplishments.
