Mark Pollitt is an experienced educator and school leader with over 20 years of teaching expertise across primary, secondary, and tertiary settings, including mainstream and special needs education. Originally from northern England, Mark now serves as the principal of Al Tafawwoq Primary School in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He previously led Al Hosn School and advised on educational development in the region.

A former British military officer, Mark brings a disciplined yet empathetic approach to leadership. He holds a deep passion for fostering positive learning environments and believes in the philosophy that “if a student enjoys their learning, they will learn.” Known for his commitment to staff development, student well-being, and integrating UAE National Identity into education, Mark has also authored books on interfaith understanding and educational best practices.
